Bipolar Support Groups

We now run a shared peer support group in Hillmorton hospital in the Acute In Service Takahe ward once a fortnight on a Monday from 1.30-2.30pm for people with a mental health diagnosis. We aim to have this support group facilitated by peers; people who also know what it is like to have their lives affected by mental illness.

We also hold a fortnightly support group at the Linwood Resource Centre, 332 Linwood Ave (cnr of Smith Street and Linwood Ave).

The intention of the support groups is to provide a place where people in similar circumstances can come together to share and learn from each other and be hopeful for each others future.

We welcome newcomers to our support groups and hope that you will gain as much from discussing your experience of living with bipolar disorder as you will from listening to others who are willing to share their own journey.
