Bipolar Support Groups

We now run a support group in Hillmortion hospital in the Acute In Service Takahe ward one a fortnight on a Monday from 1.30-2.30pm for people with the diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder and for those who are family members. We aim to have this support group facilitated by peers; people who also know what it is like to have their lives affected by Bipolar Disorder.

The intention of the support group is to provide a place where people in similar circumstances can come together to share and learn from each other and be hopeful for each others future.

We welcome newcomers to our support group and hope that you will gain as much from discussing your experience of living with bipolar disorder as you will from listening to others who are willing to share their own journey.
